RBI assistant recruitment 2017: Apply for 623 posts

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a notification inviting applications from candidates to fill 623 assistant posts in various offices of the Bank. The last date to submit the application form in by November 10, 2017.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification- Candidates should be a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

Age limit- The age of the candidate has to be between 20 to 28 years as on October 1, 2017. There is age relaxation for SC/ST.

Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The tentative date for online preliminary exam is November 27 and 28 while the main exam will be held on December 20.
The preliminary exam will be for 100 marks and will include questions on English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. Candidates will have one hour to complete this paper. The main exam will be for 200 marks and will include separate tests on reasoning (30 minutes), English language (30 minutes), numerical ability (30 minutes), general awareness (25 minutes) and computer knowledge (20 minutes).

General /OBC Category : Candidate should have pay application fee of Rs. 450/- (Examination fee + intimation charges).
SC/ ST/ PWD / Ex-Servicemen Category : Candidate should have pay application fee of Rs. 50/- (Intimation Charges).

HOW TO APPLY
Candidates can apply online only from 18.10.2017 to 10.11.2017 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Before applying online, candidates should-
i. Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required
specifications as given under Guideline for photograph & signature scan and upload.
ii. Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. Bank may send call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances,
a candidate should share with /mention e mail id to any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile no. before applying on-line and must maintain that email account and mobile number.
