2340 Assistant Professor vacancies announced In Tamil Nadu; apply before September 24
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has invited online applications for direct recruitment from eligible candidates for filling 2340 vacancies of Assistant Professors in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service for Government Arts and Science Colleges and Colleges of Education for the year 2018-19.
The registration process will begin on September 4 and the last date for submission of application is September 24 (5pm). The date of certificate verification and interview will be announced later.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55 percent and a pass in the NET/ SLET/ SET / SLST / CSIR / JRF as per UGC Norms in the relevant subject. OR A Pass in Post-Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks and Ph.D in the relevant subject awarded as per UGC norms. Check Official Notification here.
Age Limit
Candidates should not have completed 57 years of age.
Assistant Professor posts: Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit. All the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview. The candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3. Assistant Professor posts: Application Fees
The Processing Fee is Rs.600/- for all the candidates except SC/ST and Differently-abled candidates. For SC/ST and Differently-abled candidates, the processing fee is Rs.300/-. Candidates will have to make the payment online through Net banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card. The online application will end at 5 pm on September 24, 2019. Selection
Candidates will be selected by ranking and shortlisting followed by preparation of rank cum communal roster for certificate verification and interview. The candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3. Marks will be awarded to all candidates based on the certificates uploaded along with the Application Forms as per criteria which has to be confirmed/finalised after due verification by the certificate verification team and also the marks awarded during the time of Interview.
