Central
Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released notification for direct recruitment
for the combatised post of Assistant Sub-
Inspector
(Steno). Total vacancies available are 219 out of which 8 posts are reserved
for Ex-servicemen. The online application
process will
begin on March 27, 2017.

Educational
Qualification Required
Candidate
must have passed intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination from a
recognized university or board of education.
Two or three
year Diploma certificate in technical education done after class 10 is not
equivalent to intermediate or 10+2.
Age Limit:
18-25 years as on 25 April 2017 Age relaxation will applicable according to the
state government norms.
The age
relaxation for SC/ ST category candidates = 05 year
OBC category
candidates= 03 years
Skill Test:
For dictation (10 minutes), candidates should have speed of 80 words per
minute. Transcription time will be 50 minutes
in English
or 65 minutes in Hindi. Transcription test will be conducted only on computers.
Height: 165
cms for male candidates (162.5 cms for candidates belonging to ST category) and
155 cms for female candidates (150 cms for
candidates belonging to ST category). Relaxation in height is also applicable
for candidates falling in the categories of Garwalies,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the state of
Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur,
Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Chest (male
candidates): 77 cms unexpanded (76 cms for candidates belonging to ST category)
and 82 cms expanded (81 cms for
candidates
belonging to ST category)
Weight:
Candidates must have proportionate weight as per their height and age. Over/
under weight will lead to disqualification.
Application
Process
Interested
candidates will be able to apply only in online mode. The application form will
be available under the recruitment tab on CRPF
official website (crpf.nic.in).
Candidates
who belong to general category and OBC category will have to pay an application
fee of Rs. 100. Women candidates and candidates
belonging to schedule caste, schedule tribe, and ex-servicemen are exempted
from paying application fee.
Selection
Process
The first stage
will be Physical Standard Test (PST)/Documentation and candidates who qualify
this only will be eligible to appear for OMR
based written examination. The written examination will be conducted in English
and Hindi. Candidates who qualify the written
examination, will be called for Skill Test. Candidates qualifying Skill Test
will be called for Detailed Medical Examination
(DME).
