The Staff Selection Commission released a notification on 22 April 2017 to recruit Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and ASI in CAPF, BSF, CISF, etc. The commission will hold an examination for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF.

Total Number of Vacancies - 2221 Vacancies

1. SI Male in Delhi Police

Number of Vacancies - 616 (Open-548, Ex-Serviceman-68)

2. SI Female in Delhi Police

Number of Vacancies - 256

3. SI in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)

(a) CRPF - 241 (Male-241, Female-00)

(b) BSF - 343 (Male-298, Female-45)

(d) CISF - 88 (Male-79, Female-09)

(e) SSB - 114 (Male-79, Female-35)

4. Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Executive in CISF

Number of Vacancies - 563 (Male-507, Female-56)

Age Limit - 20 to 25 years as on 01.01.2017

Educational Qualification - Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognised University or equivalent qualification. For the post of SI in Delhi Police, male candidates should possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car).

Male Candidates

General candidates - Height: 170 Cms, Chest: 80-85 Cms

Hill Area Candidates (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, J&K etc) - Height: 165 Cms, Chest: 80-85 Cms

ST Candidates - Height: 162.5 Cms, Chest: 77-82 Cms

Female Candidates

General candidates - Height: 157 Cms

Hill Area Candidates (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, J&K etc) - Height: 155 Cms

ST Candidates - Height: 154 Cms

For General Category Male: 100

For Women/SC/ST category fee is exempted

Pay Scale:

Sub Inspector in CAPF: 9300 to 34800 in pay band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group B Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Sub Inspector (executive male) in Delhi Police: 9300 to 34800 in pay band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group C by Delhi Police

Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF: Rs 5200 to 20200 in pay band 2 with GP of Rs. 2800 and is classified as Group C

Selection and Recruitment Process - SSC SI ASI Bharti selection process will consist of Written exam (Paper 1), Physical test, Medical examination and Written exam (Paper 2). Only qualified candidates of PET/PST and Medical Examination will be allowed to appear in Paper-2. Final selection of candidates will be based on their total marks in the Written Exam in Paper 1st & Paper 2nd.
